Not everyone who is OTD (Off the Derech) or consider themselves as being a "Punk Jew" are survivors of any form of child abuse or neglect, yet a large percentage of them are. The Awareness Center closed. We operated from April 30, 1999 - April 30, 2014. This site is being provided for educational & historical purposes. We were the international Jewish Coalition Against Sexual Abuse/Assault (JCASA); and were dedicated to ending sexual violence in Jewish communities globally. We did our best to operate as the make a wish foundation for Jewish survivors of sex crimes. In the past we offered a clearinghouse of information, resources, support and advocacy.

Teaching Discrimination and Prejudice in the Haredi World
Here's an example of teaching hate and discrimination in the ultra-orthodox world. The sad part is that it's teaching prejudice against our own people. If these adults talk like is about individuals who are "too worldly", can you imagine the way the speak about kids who have been sexually abused?
