Trafficker in women jailed for five years

Tel Aviv District Court yesterday jailed a man for five years for trafficking women for prostitution. Mark Pikovsky was also fined NIS 15,000 and ordered to pay NIS 7,500 to each of the two women who filed the complaint against him. Two others involved in the case, Irina Fishman and Michael Yelikovsky, to whom Pikovsky delivered the women to work as prostitutes, were also found guilty. Fishman was sentenced to 33 months in jail and ordered to pay a NIS 10,000 fine and NIS 7,500 to each of the women. Yelikovsky was jailed for two years. (Itim)
