If you were sexually abused by any staff member at YU (Yeshiva University), please contact The Awareness Center immediately. We have information to provide you.
Two alleged offenders named publicly include Rabbi Macy Gordon and Rabbi George Finkelstein. We also have the names of others.
If someone has contacted you associated with Yeshiva University about your abuse, please contact an attorney who specializes in working with sex abuse cases. The Awareness Center has a name of one firm who is willing to work with you. If you are a survivor of someone who was employed by Yeshiva University, please contact us for further information.
Sincerely,

The Awareness Center closed. We operated from April 30, 1999 - April 30, 2014. This site is being provided for educational & historical purposes. We were the international Jewish Coalition Against Sexual Abuse/Assault (JCASA); and were dedicated to ending sexual violence in Jewish communities globally. We did our best to operate as the make a wish foundation for Jewish survivors of sex crimes. In the past we offered a clearinghouse of information, resources, support and advocacy.

Over the past few weeks I received communications from those who were sexually abused . I have learned a lot regarding the suffering they have gone through. Each person handles trauma differently and no one including me can judge their reaction to this trauma. The outcry of these individuals must be heard and answered.
