The Awareness Center closed. We operated from April 30, 1999 - April 30, 2014. This site is being provided for educational & historical purposes.
We were the international Jewish Coalition Against Sexual Abuse/Assault (JCASA); and were dedicated to ending sexual violence in Jewish communities globally. We did our best to operate as the make a wish foundation for Jewish survivors of sex crimes. In the past we offered a clearinghouse of information, resources, support and advocacy.
Resources for Retreat and Treatment Centers for survivors of sexual abuse/assault
There are times survivors of sexual trauma need a little more then what outpatient treatment can provide.
Below is a list of some of the top retreat and treatment centers for survivors of sexual abuse/assault.
Please note that these resources were suggested to The Awareness Center by survivors who utilized their services. If you are a survivor and want to share a treatment center or retreat that you found helpful, please forward the information on to us.
Many of the centers listed below have experience working with orthodox survivors too.
Like in everything else in life, each survivor has to decide for themselves which type of treatment works best for them.
