The Be'er Sheva District Court yesterday sentenced a 21-year-old man to 20 years in jail for three criminal offenses.

He was found guilty of sexually molesting a four-year-old girl, of raping a middle-aged woman and of injuring a man following a fight in a bar.

"This man deserves to be sent away for even longer," said court president Yehoshua Pipel, who presided over the three-judge bench.

The convicted man immigrated to Israel with his family from Ethiopia in 1999. Just a few months later, he attacked a four-year-old who was residing at the same immigrant absorption center, leading to his arrest and being brought to trial.

During the course of the court hearings, he attacked a 43-year-old woman near her home, raping her brutally under threat to her life and breaking several bones in her body.

A month later, while he was sitting in a bar, the convicted man was involved in an argument with another man in the establishment. Later, they met outside, where the convicted man drew a knife, stabbing the other man four times in the stomach. The victim was hospitalized for a lengthy period.

The court noted that the man had no control over his aggressive urges and said that all three cases had been severe matters.
